Cinco de Mayo Celebration

The 20th Annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration in Sunnyside will be held on May 2, 3, & 4. This event is billed as Washington's largest Cinco de Mayo event. It draws a very large crowd of locals and visitors to enjoy a variety of attractions, including live entertainment, street vendors, carnival, parade, and charros.
Over 150 vendors will set up on 6th Street in downtown Sunnyside, open for business at noon on Friday, May 2nd. There will be something for everyone - ethnic foods, crafts, jewelry, and much more.
The carnival, operated by Paradise Amusements, will start on Thursday, May 1st from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The carnival will operate from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Friday, Noon to 11:00 PM on Saturday, and 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Sunday.
You are also invited to enjoy or participate in the Cinco de Mayo Parade on Sunday, May 4th. Parade line-up begins at 9:30 AM, with judging starting promptly at 10:30 AM. The parade will begin at 12:00 Noon. The route will begin at Sunnyside High School (16th & Edison) heading west on Edison to Zillah Ave / 1st St. to Homer Ave. The parade will conclude at the Law & Justice Center.
After the parade, be sure to enjoy the Charro contest in Central Park!
